Direction Rules

Do

  • Use brass for primary CTAs, rivets on light surfaces, plate frames, and plaque ornaments.
  • Use copper for section dividers, hover/focus accents, and rivets on dark surfaces.
  • Demote sienna to a tertiary emphasis colour only — never the default CTA.
  • Keep hard-edged offset shadows; shift only the colour toward copper at deep elevations.
  • Maintain Frontier's typography stack untouched.

Don't

  • Don't gradient-blend brass into copper — they're discrete metals, hard-edged borders only.
  • Don't use brass and copper at the same elevation on the same surface — pick one per band.
  • Don't add new colours beyond the brass/copper pair — Gaslamp is Frontier + two, not Frontier + many.
  • Don't tint backgrounds toward brass/copper — backgrounds stay rodeo / liquourice / cowboy.
  • Don't drop the rivet ornament — it's the load-bearing surface signal.
