ARTSABERS — Cart Build Brief · Variant A · The Assembly Bay

BBAS10 Build Brief ARTSABERS

Purpose

The ARTSABERS shopping cart — Variant A: “The Assembly Bay”. One of three variants exploring different cart philosophies. This one leans into the Kyber Hull workshop metaphor: the cart is where the customer inspects their assembly order before it enters production. Rich composite display, strict cost transparency hierarchy, options collapsed below the CTA so the total dominates.

Question this variant asks: does richer composite display + strict transparency-first cost hierarchy win the check-your-order-before-checkout moment?

Direction

Kyber Hull — apply the direction from SAS1. Reuse the CSS gradient + panel-joint hairline background pattern locked on MAS51/MAS52. Fieldset border pattern from MAS52 for content-groups. Form primitives from MAS52. Real ARTSABERS product photography. Zero border-radius sitewide.

Sections (top to bottom)

1. Compact page header

2. Free gift band — unlocked state

3. Main cart — two-column split

Left column: shipments as bordered “Assembly Bay” content-groups (MAS52 fieldset pattern). Reframe “Shipment” → “Assembly Bay” throughout to signal the factory-direct workshop metaphor.

4. Order summary — right column, transparency-first

Bordered content-group (MAS52 fieldset pattern). Sticky on desktop. Strict hierarchy: cost first, CTA second, options collapsed below the CTA.

Structure inside the summary:

Options accordion below the CTA — collapsed by default so they don’t compete with the total. Single accordion with three collapsed rows:

Render ONE of them expanded to demonstrate the pattern — pick the gift wrap (shows textarea usage): expanded state with checkbox ON, kraft-paper description text, textarea with sample gift message + counter (62/240).

5. Cross-sell strip — “Complete your setup”

6. Post-cart reinforcement band

Same as MAS51: plain carbon + ember hairline separator top + dot-separated brand line Every hilt hand-tested in-house · Global 7–10 day delivery · 2,400+ five-star reviews.

7. Site footer

Standard site chrome. Not brief content.

Composite line-item display — Variant A treatment

Only the blade needs displaying (Saber Core is in the product title). Blade info line sits directly under the product name in the line item. Compact but complete:
