Purpose

Full-page article mockup of an ARTSABERS blog post in Announcement mode (short-form news). Tests the single flexible article template at real page scale for the shortest editorial density we design for.

Consumes:

  • BBAS18 (Editorial Content Spec) — the reading-surface pattern library. Follow verbatim. All content patterns + article chrome + typography scale + Gutenberg block mapping come from BBAS18.
  • SAS1 v4.2.1 (Kyber Hull styleguide) — colours, fonts, tokens.
  • PB + DB — brand voice + audit context.

The article

  • Title: Order Delay Update: Production & Fulfilment Status
  • Category chip: ARTSABERS News
  • Byline: Chloe · 8 Jul 2026 · 3 min read
  • Subtitle: A candid update on where your order sits and when you’ll hear from us next.
  • Hero variant: compact panel-joint background, ~360px. Byline appears IN hero.
  • Body density: Announcement mode. ~250 words. Single-column, max-width 68ch.
  • Content patterns used (all opt-in per BBAS18):
    • Two H2 section headings ("Where we are right now", "What happens next")
    • No drop-cap (writer chose not to enable — short announcement doesn’t warrant it)
    • No pull-quote, no callout box, no inline images
    • Sign-off: "Signed, Matthew (ARTSABERS)"
  • Article footer:
    • Ember hairline separator
    • Tag chip row (4-5 tags: Order Status, Fulfilment, Backorders, US Warehouse, Community Update)

Three cards, each = featured image + category chip + title + reading time. Mixed categories so the article template’s post-body chrome shows the full spread.

Full site nav (Lightsabers · Helmets · Parts · Blog · Support) + site footer (Shop / Read / Support columns per BBAS18 worked-example chrome). Match nav + footer verbatim from MAS63’s site chrome so all article mockups share the same wrapper.

Body copy

The two ~120-word H2 sections + sign-off. Written in the ARTSABERS voice: honest-about-timing, service-proud, plain English. Reference: mid-April shipping timelines, workshop capacity, 24-hour customer service response promise, transparency over spin. Author freely; the brief locks the shape, not the exact wording.

Placeholder imagery

  • Author avatar in byline row — placeholder circle with ember initial "C" on carbon.
  • Related-articles cards — real ARTSABERS product image URLs as listed above.

Kyber Hull styling notes

Per SAS1 + BBAS18. Ember on: category chip hairline, section-break hairline, hero eyebrow, related-articles card hairlines, tag chip hairlines. Warm off-white body text. Zero border-radius. Panel-joint hairline background pattern on the hero + patterns appendix backgrounds (per BBAS18).

What this mockup deliberately does NOT include

  • No drop-cap (writer’s editorial choice for this piece — announcement doesn’t need cinematic flourish)
  • No comment section
  • No author profile card
  • No sidebar (single-column article body)
  • No BNPL / cross-sell / newsletter signup inline in body
  • No brand-voice renames of chrome — "Related", "Share", tag row, byline labels stay plain English per the chrome-vs-copy rule

Success criteria

At full-page scale:

  • Compact hero reads with authority at ~360px without feeling truncated
  • Body max-width 68ch is comfortable for 250 words of reading
  • Article footer (tag row + share row + related-articles) balances the compact hero (doesn’t overwhelm the short body)
  • Related-articles 3-up cards read well against real ARTSABERS product imagery
  • Page total ~1,600px rendered (compact — that’s the point of announcement mode)
